Concerns about range and charging speed are key for EV drivers as well as potential EV drivers. There are a range of different charging speeds, often depending on the capacity of your car's battery, where you're charging and the type of charger you're using. Whether it is slow or fast charging, take a look at what you should pay attention to when charging your electric car.

Don't charge your car every day

It is recommended not to charge the car battery up to 100% per day. The optimal charge would be somewhere between 80% and 90%. This will help prevent battery degradation.

Charging overnight is the most popular and convenient way to charge an electric car. However, it is safest to use a wall charger - wallbox. Thanks to the AgeVolt Smart System, you can easily set the times during which you want to charge the electric car. In addition, you can also use surpluses from photovoltaics for charging.

Prefer slow charging

In order to maintain good battery condition in your electric car, it is recommended to use slow charging for daily charging. AC charging stations are therefore suitable for places we visit daily and spend more than 30 minutes there. Examples are shopping centers, supermarkets, restaurants, medical facilities, fitness centers, wellness centers, or even ski resorts in the winter.

Fast charging for longer routes

Fast charging is recommended only in necessary cases, when you are on the road and need to charge the electric car for the longest possible distance in a short time. Fast DC chargers can charge an electric car from 0 to 80% in just 15 minutes.

Keep charging under control

The AgeVolt charging system combines the charging of electric cars with the energy management of the building, whether it is a family house or a business building. It monitors the current consumption of the building and optimally decides on the charging performance without worrying about the failure of circuit breakers or exceeding the reserved capacity. Thanks to the AgeVolt charging system, the Owner of the charging station has full management of the charging station in-house. Thanks to this, it will get detailed statistics about charging and recharged energy. In addition, it has the option to set charging during the night tariff or charging only from surplus photovoltaics. A charging station with a Smart System will also allow the owner of the charging station to share it with the public and make money from charging. And all that, under our own price conditions.
