AgeVolt and Slovak Parcel Service announce cooperation in expanding the charging capabilities for couriers

We are very pleased to announce the partnership with Slovak Parcel Service (SPS), a leading courier company to build a network of charging stations for its fleet of electric vehicles in SPS delivery centres. We are thus continuing our long-term strategy of making electromobility an everyday part of our lives and contributing positively to environmental protection and sustainability. 

 

AgeVolt shares similar vision with SPS in the field of building the charging infrastructure and promoting sustainabile practices. SPS is modernising their fleet with electric vans, with an empahsis on building the required infrastructure. The first charging stations were installed and comissioned in the headquarters in Ivanka pri Dunaji and in two new delivery centers in Trnava and Trenčín. 

 "The installation of new charging stations is the next step in the sustainable delivery of parcels and improvement of green infrastructure. We are continuing with this initiative to offer first-class courier services that is also environment friendly. Further charging stations will be installed for electric vehicles in Bratislava (Petržalka), Strečno, Banská Bystrica and Budimír," explained, Ján Ťurek, Head of Slovak Parcel Service.

AgeVolt has a sustainability in its DNA and has the UN Sustainable Development Goals of affordable energy and climate action in its mission.

AgeVolt goes even further by using 100% biodegradable and compostable bioplastic for packaging made in Slovakia. Nonoilen is the only bioplastic in the world that does not contain synthetic polymers from zropy. 

In the context of a sustainable strategy, SPS couriers have supported local governments by planting trees, modernizing the vehicle fleet with electric vans, and SPS customers have been using electronic receipts or biometric signature technology for several years.
