Five reasons why you should prefer an electric car to a classic combustion engine car 

Did you know that passenger transport is responsible for up to 63% of emissions? While passenger cars and trucks together create emissions greater than the combination of ship, air, bus and rail transport. If you currently drive a traditional gasoline-powered car, switching to an electric car is one of the best ways you can reduce your carbon footprint and make a positive impact on the environment every day. Here are some of the main reasons why you should replace your internal combustion engine car with an electric vehicle:

1. They are better for the environment. 

 One of the main benefits of electric vehicles may seem obvious, but it's too important to overlook: the benefits to the environment. Electric cars produce significantly less emissions than cars with a combustion engine - not only during use, but also during the entire life cycle of the vehicle. This can help reduce air pollution and mitigate climate change. It is true that in the current situation more emissions are produced in the production of an electric car than in the production of a car with a combustion engine. However, with the increasing trend of recycling batteries from electric cars, as battery storage for energy, the negative impacts are lessening. Even if we take into account the energy mix of Slovakia, we can state that the operation of an electric car produces significantly less CO2 emissions compared to conventional cars. 

 

2. Cheaper maintenance 

With fewer parts, less brake wear, no oil, no internal combustion engine and parts that require little or no regular maintenance, EVs have lower repair and maintenance costs compared to their combustion equivalents. 3. You will no longer have to wait at gas stations 

 How amazing would it be if we no longer had to stand outside every few days at a gas station in freezing weather, hot summer air or rain? You can charge the electric car overnight at home and on longer journeys you will only have to stop and charge. 4. The charging infrastructure is growing 

One of the reasons why some people may hesitate to switch to an electric car is the fear that there are not enough charging stations nearby.
